BM Catalysts has appointed a new purchasing manager as part of plans to accelerate and develop the organisation’s supply chain. Giving a more strategic focus to the role of purchasing within the business, Adam Hollingworth adds to a four-strong team within the department, helping to reinforce and deliver the firm’s hallmarks of quality, competitiveness and value to customers.
The news comes as BM Catalysts has announced the investment of a new 20,000sq. ft. warehouse in the UK, alongside an additional £750k investment in new machinery to accommodate growing product demand. The firm already develops over 300 new parts each year, and with the popularity of the firm’s components only increasing worldwide, Hollingworth will play an integral role in shaping the company’s future development.
Commenting on the appointment, BM Catalysts commercial director Mark Blinston said: “Adam joins at a very important time in BM Catalysts’ history. Building on one of our most successful years ever, in 2019 we are already seeing strong sales growth which in turn is driving further expansion.
“With a wealth of experience in both the automotive and aerospace sectors, we’re sure the focus Adam can bring to all supply chain matters will be of huge benefit to our business.”
Hollingworth joins BM Catalysts from Japanese automotive OE supplier Tsubaki, where he oversaw the purchasing department for the UK and Europe.
